After the early days, we all went our separate ways. I performed a lot of one nighters. I suppose I have been on most every stage, with most every artist you could think of. From time to time, I would cross the path of old friends. Except Wynn Stewart. In those days, my home was Nashville. And, one afternoon in Hendersonville at a boat dock on Old Hickory, I found him sitting there. We visited nearly every day for the next year except when he or I was out of town. At that time, I was no longer recording. Nevertheless, Wynn wanted me to record some of his songs. We went to a studio and worked on an album of 10 songs. Six of these songs were brand new Wynn Stewart songs. I had to leave town on business and did not see Wynn for a while. Then, I heard that he had passed. It was another year before I felt the need to go back to the studio and finish what we had started. One of the finest country singers and song writer of our time, Wynn Stewart is a good part of the reason why I started singing again. Order #1216
